OREM, UTAH—June 29, 2020—Geezerfest/Summerfest today announced the donation of 2,200 bottles of W.H.O. standard hand sanitizer to be distributed free to attendees at the August 14/15 Geezerfest & Summerfest at Orem City Center Park.
“We are so pleased with the generosity of Dynamic Blending,” states Alan Breese, Geezerfest 2020 chairman. “With current COVID-19 health concerns, we determined to up our safety performance so fans can feel more comfortable attending this live music event. Our band of volunteers is working hard to make this a memorable event.”
Fans can get a taste of what’s in store by streaming Virtual Geezerfest now on Facebook @GeezerfestUT.
Dynamic Blending is a contract manufacturer of cosmetics, personal care, skincare, dietary supplements, and nutraceuticals. The company complies with strict industry and FDA guidelines for all of products produced for more than 200 companies. They responded to the public need for sanitizer products as the pandemic escalated by producing two levels of hand sanitizer, both W.H.O. and hospital grade products.
“Our company’s hand sanitizer has been in such great demand that we’ve made it a permanent product online,” states Gavin Collier, CEO for Dynamic Blending. “Our recent gifts in conjunction with USANA, now Geezerfest and others are a small way we can thank the community for supporting our rapid growth.”
Since state guidelines have authorized public gatherings of up to 6,000, Geezerfest continues to ramp up planning towards this highly popular two-day festival now in its 15th year. This year, Geezerfest planners have agreed to share the venue with a scaled back version of Summerfest, which was delayed due to COVID-19 related gathering restrictions early in the summer.
“We are thrilled to be back online with Summerfest “Lite” in conjunction with Geezerfest,” states Steven Downs, Orem Deputy City Manager. “Of course, we will comply with State guidelines to enable social distancing and sanitation standards that will enhance safety and the comfort level for attendees, but it will be up to each of us to make the best decisions for themselves and their family.”
In addition to free hand sanitizer, face masks will be available at the venue for a nominal fee. Attendees are invited to bring their own blankets and chairs so they can better distance and control seat sanitation. The first 100 Geezerfest fans on Friday and Saturday (14-15 Aug) will receive free 16oz souvenir bottles of sanitizer. 2,000 free two-ounce bottles will be available throughout the weeklong Summerfest schedule of events.

This is a shout out to all groups who are wanting to play GEEZERFEST 2020 (aka Fest 15, but my marketing guys hate me using this). The deadline for submitting your band for the line-up is June 25th. Bands from past years performances will have first right of passage, but as we experience every year new bands come into the mix and add a bit of diversity and change to the line-up. We are limited to approximately 20 slots (maybe 21) for the line-up, so get your requests in ASAP.
With the COVID-19 pandemic comes some interesting challenges this year, but we’re hoping that by August things will relax a bit. Regardless, we will do all we can to make the experience fun for everyone. Orem City has come on board with us in a bigger way this year and the crowds should only get bigger as Summerfest and GEEZERFEST will be combined for the first time with Saturday night culminating with Orem’s Summerfest fireworks show!
Looking forward to another two days of classic rock in August. Mark the dates on your calendars August 14 & 15.. Any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me and I’ll get you answer. Also, if I’ve missed any bands on this list from years past, please pass along the invite.
