Companies Give Back to Encourage Safe Public Gathering
OREM, UTAH—July 23, 2020—Geezerfest today announced new sponsors and details of its fan safety plan for this free public August 14-15 event. The law firm of Cowdell and Wooley PC and VASA Fitness are making generous cash donations to cover festival expenses. Cascades Healthcare is generously donating 600 masks to be made available to fans for a nominal donation to the Geeezerfest event. Culver’s, Macey’s and Smith Food and Drug are contributing valuable gift certificates to be given away during prize drawings at the event.
Coordinating with Orem City and the Utah County Health Department, Geezerfest planners have received a thumbs up for their plan to maximize fan and musician fun and safety. Pre-show and during the festival, attendees are encouraged to wear masks and maintain safe distancing. Bottles of hand sanitizer will be available for free and Geezerfest masks will be available for a nominal price. Fans will bring their own chairs and blankets. Food trucks will be spread out throughout the park to encourage distancing. Merchandise tables will include cash or touchless payment options through Venmo.

This year, Geezerfest shares the venue with a scaled back version of Summerfest, which was delayed due to COVID-19 related gathering restrictions early in the summer. Summerfest is at Orem City Center Park.
“We are thrilled to be back online with Summerfest “Lite” in conjunction with Geezerfest,” states Steven Downs, Orem Deputy City Manager. “Of course, we will comply with State guidelines to enable social distancing and sanitation standards that will enhance safety and the comfort level for attendees.”
